Australian and UK deniers using same playbook again

So as anyone who has been paying attention to Australian politics knows, the LNP government has been making a big noise about the supposed unreliability of renewables and the new for baseload from coal plants. This is despite a range of industry groups and scientists and study groups and whoever else repeatedly pointing out that the LNP's case is a load of bollocks.

The UK House of Lords has just released a report which takes the same line as the Australian LNP government, and is being similarly trashed by various respondents.

So quite obviously the UK and Oz deniers have been swapping notes. "Coal is needed for baseload" seems to be their meme du jour.
